XRP Ledger Achieves New Milestone In Latest Ledger Tally

Amid the bullish sentiment around the cryptocurrency market, decentralized public blockchain XRP Ledger (XRPL) has recently witnessed a significant increase in its transactions marking yet another milestone for the decentralized blockchain.

The XRP Ledger’s (XRPL) Latest Milestone

According to an X (formerly Twitter) post from Collin Brown, the XRP Ledger has recently attained a record 84 millionth ledger. According to him, this achievement marks a testament to Ripple and its vigorous infrastructure and growing ecosystem.

The post read:

#XRP Ledger (#XRPL) celebrates closing its 84 millionth ledger, a testament to #Ripple and its robust infrastructure and growing ecosystem.

In addition, each ledger’s closure denotes the finalization and documentation of a sequence of transactions, adding to the history of the ledger, which is transparent and unchangeable.

This most recent accomplishment, reported by XRPScan, highlights two important attributes that have been attracting more and more users to its network. These include XRPL’s stability and scalability.

The XRP Ledger has continuously shown itself to be a safe and dependable platform. The ledger is well-known for its capacity to manage a large number of transactions swiftly.

Famed for its ability to process transactions faster and affordably, XRPL is fast taking the lead as the platform of choice for people searching for effective cross-border payment solutions.

Additionally, the XRP ledger is created to operate seamlessly with other financial systems. This makes it essential to incorporate blockchain technology into the current financial infrastructure.

The blockchain appears to be growing fast and vast. The ledger’s latest milestone came just a few months after it recorded its 81 millionth ledger in July 2023. This indicates a growing adoption of more users who choose the protocol as their go-to smart contract network.

The Ledger Adopts An Amendment Method

The announcement also saw another exciting new development for the ledger. The XRP Ledger is getting ready to put the “fixNFTokenRemint” amendment into effect.

The upcoming “fixNFTokenRemint” amendment aims to enhance NFT minting, solidifying XRPL’s position as a reliable #blockchain platform.

The amendment focuses on enhancing the Non-fungible Token (NFT) minting process on XRPL. The precise goal is to alter the generation process of NFT sequence numbers in order to counteract sequence number duplication, which might otherwise result in possible collision scenarios.

With the intention of resolving issues with Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), the “fixNFTokenRemint” amendment has been able to secure the necessary amount of votes.

With 27 votes in favor of the amendment out of a potential 34, it passed with a consensus of 82.35%, kicking off the activation countdown period, which is set to cease on November 27.

So far, the amendment marks a significant step for the ledger. With its fast-growing ecosystem, the ledger demonstrates a promising future of developments and innovations.

Instagram Is Experimenting With an Option To Add Files to DMs

What if you could send files in your IG DMs? That may soon be an option, with app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi uncovering this process in the back-end data of the app. As you can see in this example, Instagram’s experimenting with a new option that would let you add files to your messages as attachments. Which is not overly surprising. You can already send documents within WhatsApp , and on Messenger (in limited capacity), and with Meta still working to integrate all of its messaging platforms into a single system , it makes sense that it would also need to replicate the functionality of each, to ensure full parity. So, basically, every function within Messenger, IG Direct and/or WhatsApp will eventually be available in each other app, as that will then enable Meta to link them all together into a singular messaging system. As such, I do think this is coming, and is more than just an experiment, which will provide expanded functionality within your IG DMs, and could be handy...
